TRADE-IN POLICIES

Our trade-in hours are Tuesday through Saturday from
10am to 3pm. We do a limited number of trade-ins per day. Call before you come to be sure we're still doing trade-ins on that day.
No trade-ins on Sunday or Monday.
FIRST TIME SELLERS PLEASE CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT
We buy and sell gently used children's clothing, toys, baby furniture, equipment and more!
Our customers shop the same stores you do, so they know what great kids stuff is. In order for us to offer great product at value prices, all the items we buy and sell must meet current safety standards and be in step with current styles.
We pay "up front" - no waiting for your things to sell - for an amazing array of gently used name-brand items including quality (good condition and in style) baby, children’s, young men’s and young women’s clothing. Women’s clothing is limited to maternity and young women’s casual clothing.
We love to buy the latest teen brands in the current styles. For junior misses clothing, we focus on basic, casual styles and better name brands - Abercrombie, Hollister, True Religion - the popular teen brands. Men’s clothing is strictly young men’s latest styles and brands.
A "one bucket per customer per day" limit for clothing, shoes, and small items is strictly enforced. We use a Sterilite 18-Gallon bucket.
Furniture does not count toward your limit.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING IN GARBAGE BAGS.
PLEASE BRING YOUR ITEMS IN A SHOPPING BAG, BOX, OR BIN.
Clothing and accessories must be purchased within the last three years. We cannot accept clothes with stains, tears, or missing buttons. Clothes that are stretched out, pilled, faded, or fouled by smoke, mothball, attic or garage smell are also not accepted. Under no circumstances will we accept clothing with pet hair on it.
Clothing must be freshly laundered, folded or laid out flat with sets put together. Snap all snaps, button all the buttons, zip all zippers.
Furniture must be thoroughly cleaned, have all parts, no battery corrosion, in good working order, and meet all current safety standards. Fabric on furniture and equipment must be removed, laundered, and replaced on the frame.
Please be sure you have batteries in your baby equipment. We charge $1.00 per battery if your batteries are missing or don't work.
Equipment must meet current safety standards and include all parts. Not sure if your item qualifies? Bring it in and we’ll check it out!
Other Mothers processes items quickly – your store credit or cash will usually be ready for you by the close of business on the day you dropped off your items. We do not hold your items for you to approve our pricing. Items not accepted for resale may either be donated to our 25-cent sale, or picked up by the seller by the close of business the following day.
IMPORTANT: Customers who choose to pick up the items not accepted for resale must come back within one business day to pick up remaining items. Items not picked up within one business day will be donated to our $.25 Sale.
We do not sell: Cribs with a drop-side (unless you have the manufacturer's retrofit kit), VHS Videos, Infant car seats, Walkers, Baby bath "rings", Breast pumps, underwear, Jewelry, or anything that has been recalled.
After we process your items for resale, you will receive a percentage of the resale value in cash or store credit, as you choose. You do not wait for the items to sell. We pay your cash or store credit "up front."
We do not wait for seller approval of the trade-in value. Whatever we accept, we price for sale and put out on the floor right away. Items priced for sale will not be returned to you pending approval of the price.

Spring/Summer Clothes are "in season" February - June
Fall/Winter Clothes are "in season" August - December
All clothing is "out of season" during the months of January and July
Equipment, furniture, books, DVDs, etc. are always “in season” unless seasonal:
eg.“pool toys” or sleds, holiday books or DVDs.
Costumes and bathing suits are always "in season."

We take "off-season" things, but your cash or store credit share of their value is less.
If it's your first time trading in, we recommend that you choose to "pick up" your leftover items. After you see what we didn't take, you may then choose to donate those items. You don't have to take them home with you.
