NO TRADE-INS FRIDAY.

HOPE YOU ARE NOT INCONVENIENCED BY THIS -- IF YOU SIMPLY MUST COME FRIDAY, PLEASE CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

WE WILL BE CLOSED THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, JULY 4TH AND 5TH FOR THE HOLIDAY.

We’ve changed our Trade-In Policy due to New Government Lead Regulations

The Consumer Product Safety Commission

issued a clarification of the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.  Though we are not required to test all items we sell for lead content, they do constrain what resale shops may accept:

“Resellers cannot sell children’s products that exceed the (new) lead limit and therefore should avoid products that are likely to have lead content…Those resellers that DO sell products in violation of the new limits could face civil or criminal penalties.”

Other Mothers is affected by these new guidelines.  Unfortunately,

we cannot accept the following:

• TOYS:  EXCEPT (SOME) BRAND-NEW IN THE BOX
• STUFFED ANIMALS
• JEWELRY
• CLOTHING or SHOES PURCHASED BEFORE 2006
• ANYTHING THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED
